North East PEACE III Programme
The North East PEACE III Partnership is the delivery mechanism for Theme 1.1 of Priority 1 of the PEACE III Programme in the council cluster of Coleraine, Ballymena, Ballymoney, Larne, Limavady and Moyle. Theme 1.1 – Building Positive Relations at Local Level aims to challenge attitudes towards sectarianism and racism and to support conflict resolution and mediation at the local level.
The overall objective of the PEACE III Programme is to reinforce progress towards a peaceful and stable society and to promote reconciliation in Northern Ireland and the Border Region.
Programmes for Phase 1 of the North East PEACE III programme are currently being rolled out across the cluster areas. Phase 2 of the programme is due to start in April 2011 and the Partnership have submitted an Action Plan for this phase to the Special E.U Programmes Body.
