The Success Through Succession project aims to assist family SMEs across Northern Ireland, the Six Southern Counties of Ireland and the West of Scotland to deal with the challenges of succession using a series of interventions. An awareness raising session will be held on Wed 3rd March 2010, 16:30 – 18:45 at Ramada Hotel, Shaws Bridge, Belfast; refreshments will be provided.
WHY PLAN FOR SUCCESSION?
The majority of businesses are family businesses. Unfortunately, many owners don’t plan for succession and the figures show that this is the major reason why family businesses fail to grow.
WHAT THE PROGRAMME OFFERS
Planning for succession is a progression of tasks that link together giving a solution for the future of the family and the business. The programme team will provide every family with individual support and training to make it likely to be a positive experience.
· One to one mentoring.
· Coaching opportunities with a range of family business experts.
· A series of workshops focused on exploring your family’s solution.
· Networking opportunities to discuss succession planning challenges and solutions with other family business owners across the 3 regional areas.
