Charitable Spirit is alive and well in Ballymoney this Halloween. Lots of fun events to raise money for Children in Need, Breast Cancer Research, War on Want and UNICEF, play a large part in the towns spirits of Halloween fest.
Over thirty shops and towns council offices are participating in Wear it Pink, some offering pink treats and displaying pink themed windows. Ballymoney Town Centre Group are offering a Pink Award for the best pink sales assistant and an Award for the best Pink Window. Chamber President Winifred Mellet, welcoming the support of local businesses, said: the support from businesses for this fun event has been tremendous, by choosing to wear it pink on Friday 30th and donating to this worthy cause, businesses will be helping the campaign researching the cure to beat breast cancer”.
War on Want have organised a fundraising Halloween Party in Castlecroft Square on Saturday 31st, 4-9pm. Fancy dress and music mania dancing around the cauldrons, with an eclectic mix of pop and rock bands.
Local pubs have got in on the act too on Saturday night with games including Wii Ten Pen bowling & Twister at the Imperial Bar in aid of Children in Need and “Take Your Pick” in aid of UNICEF at the Diamond Bar.
