A Guide to the Office of Mayor
On the third Thursday in June each year the Mayor is elected at the Annual Meeting of the Council and becomes the first citizen of the Borough.
The current Mayor is Councillor John Finlay.
The Mayor of Ballymoney attends nearly 250 engagements during the civic year and each event is processed by staff in the Mayor’s Office.
In view of the Mayor’s busy schedule of meetings and engagements it is essential that all invitations are put in writing at least two weeks before the day of the event.
