Local Strategy Partnership

The BBLSP is one of 26 Local Strategy Partnerships (LSP) which were set up in each of the local council areas. The LSPs were initially responsible for the following areas of work:

  1. Production of an Integrated Local Strategy
  2. Implementation of two measures of the Peace II programme, namely Measure 3.1 (Local Economic Initiatives for Developing the Social Economy) and Measure 3.2 (Locally-based Human Resource, Training and Development Strategies)

The Peace II programme closed on 31st December 2006 and LSP's are currently administering Measure 3.1 of the Peace II Extension programme.

The BBLSP is a company limited by guarantee, with a board made up of up to 22 directors, composite of a statutory/council strand (11) and a social partner strand (11), which includes representation from the business, community, voluntary, trade union and agriculture sectors.

The BBLSP have developed a number of Peace II Extension funding programmes that will seek to realise a number of objectives contained within the Integrated Local Strategy, which was reviewed in 2005. We request that potential applicants check the European grants web-site: www.eugrants.org on a regular basis and also remain in contact with the BBLSP staff who will provide detailed information in relation to the programmes available.
