Ballymoney Affordable Fuel Scheme
The scheme has just celebrated its 5th Anniversary. It is continuing to grow every year, with sales of Oil Stamps increasing as people discover this convenient way to budget for home heating oil.
How the scheme works
The Oil Stamps cost £5 each.
They can be bought at many shops and Post Offices throughout the Ballymoney Borough.
Ask for a free savings card and stick the stamps onto it.
Each card holds 20 stamps, so a full card is worth £100 towards your next fill of oil.

When you are ready to buy oil
When you need to buy oil, use your stamps to pay.
If your card isn’t completely filled, it can still be used as part payment.
For example, if you have saved 10 stamps, that will be £50 towards your payment.
You can pay using oil stamps alone, or a mix of oil stamps and cash/cheque.
Many local oil suppliers accept the oil stamps as payment – please check with suppliers when ordering oil.
Remember to keep your card and oil stamps safe – they are valuable and should be treated as you would treat cash.
