Marriages and Civil Partnerships

Notice of Marriage/Civil Partnership may be given at this office during normal opening times. No appointment is necessary.

A Civil Marriage/Partnership may take place in the Registration Office within Riada House or at the Town Hall.

A Civil/Marriage/Partnership may also be conducted at a place that has been approved by Ballymoney Borough Council. The following premisees has been approved to hold Civil Marriages/Partnerships:

Alternatively if you wish to apply for a temporary approval for a Civil Marriage/Partnership to be conducted at a place of your own choice, such as your own home, you should contact the Registrar who will advise you about the application procedure.

Fees for Religious Marriage in Church etc at any time or day

Schedule: £30 (notice of marriage £15 x 2)
Marriage Certificate: (£6.00)
Total Cost: £36.00

Fees for Marriage/Civil Partnership in Registrar's Office and Town Hall

Monday - Friday  0900 - 1300 £61.00
Saturday 0900 - 1615 £170.00
Public/Bank Holidays (except Christmas Day) 0900 - 1300 £225.00

Fees for Marriage/Civil Partnership in Approved Places

Monday - Friday  0900 - 1300 £101.00
Saturday 0900 - 1615 £190.00
Public/Bank Holiday (except Christmas Day) 0900 - 1300 £230.00

Fee of £400.00 for the cost of Licensing of an Approved Place for a 3 year period or for a one off temporary approval and to include the provisions of the Registrar, Building Control and Environmental Health
