Civic Amenity Sites

There are two civic amenity sites in Ballymoney Borough located at Burnquarter Road and Knock Road, where you can dispose of bulky waste, garden waste and recyclables from your home.

Both civic amenity sites allow for the collection and recycling of the following materials:

Aerosols

Fluorescent light tubes

Paper & magazines

Aluminium cans

Fridges and freezers

Plastic bags

Books and music

Gas cylinders

Plastic containers with screw tops

Car batteries

Glass containers

Printer cartridges

Cardboard

Green waste

Scrap metal

Cooking oil

Household batteries

Tetra paks

Electrical equipment

Mobile phones

 Textiles

Engine oil               

Paint tins (empty)

                                         

Knock Road and Crosstagherty Civic Amenity sites accept waste electrical and electronic equipment (e.g. TVs, computers, audio equipment, kitchen appliances) from households.

Householders can deposit hardcore/rubble and soil at Crosstagherty civic amenity site only.

October 1st– March 31st
8.30am – 4.00pm (Monday – Friday)
10.00am – 4.30pm (Saturday)
Sunday - Closed

April 1st – September 30th
8.30am – 8.30pm (Monday – Friday)
10.00am – 6.30pm (Saturday)
1.30pm – 6.30pm (Sunday)

*Only vehicles less then 2.0 metres high can access this facility.
Drivers of vehicles over 2.0 metres high wishing to deposit waste and/or recyclables can do so at Crosstagherty Civic Amenity Site.
